Goals and Objectives of this Course:
- Use prompts about California Mathematics Framework 2023, to describe assumptions and insights of practitioners, researchers and self, including how the information relates to professional education practice and growth.
- Design a number sense lesson featuring an open-ended math problem that encourages flexible and accurate mathematical thinking.
- Develop a tool for collaborating with and engaging caregivers around data science.
- Implement questioning techniques to ensure equity and support for students with diverse language and learning needs.
- Create or modify a mathematics task and develop an accompanying self-assessment rubric.
- Challenge the status quo related to math instruction in an existing school system by creating a proposal to advocate for change.
- Develop two SMART goals related to curiosity and wonder and provide details for achieving each goal.
