Goals and Objectives of this Course:
Upon completion of this course, participants will be better prepared to:
- Use provided prompts specific to the connection between movement and learning, to describe assumptions and insights of practitioners, researchers and self, including how the information relates to professional educational practice.
- Design activities that acknowledge the critical necessity of movement and play in learning and healthy development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to discuss ideas for increasing movement in classroom and school curriculums.
- Implement a communication tool that explains the Kinetic Scope and automaticity, and how they impact learning.
- Develop a plan to challenge the status quo related to using movement and play to teach concepts and skills
