Goals and Objectives of this Course:
- Use prompts about Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) to describe assumptions and insights of practitioners, researchers, and self, including how the information relates to professional education practice and growth
- Explain the causes and symptoms of Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD)
- Recognize the root cause of behaviors and how to modify the teacher response to the behavior
- Construct strategies and support mechanisms to use, both in the classroom and at home, to support students with ODD
- Examine different schoolwide systems for managing student behavior
- Compare and assess the benefits of different forms of therapy for students and families
