Goals and Objectives of this Course:
- Use provided prompts specific to mental health, to describe assumptions and insights of practitioners, researchers, and self, including how the information relates to professional educational practice.
- Explain, in writing, the importance of mental health for students, schools, and society.
- Summarize, in writing, the ways in which social-emotional learning is a key component in mental health.
- Describe, in writing, how persistent stigma, homelessness, racism, sexism, LGBTQ+, and social media affect student mental health.
- Develop an Imagine Project writing exercise, a training, or a resource list based on mental health information and resources from the course for students, colleagues, families, administrators, or community stakeholders.
