Goals and Objectives of this Course:

  • Design informational graphics, student resources, and lesson plans that incorporate ethnic studies concepts and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with colleagues by sharing your learning about ethnic studies and brainstorming ways to incorporate ethnic studies frameworks across content areas.
  • Implement guiding principles of ethnic studies by auditing and incorporating them into current and pre-existing curriculum.
  • Challenge the status quo by exploring the controversy about teaching ethnic studies in K-12 schools in some districts, and developing a presentation to address both sides of the conversation.
