At this time, when the racial injustice that has always been woven into the United States’ culture and economic system rears up and inspires all of us to help make change, I invite you to consider taking some of the following steps to use your privilege for action and social change, starting in your classroom, school or district. You don’t need to do all of these, but please do something. As Martin Luther King Jr said, “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter.”
