January is National Mentoring Month!
Traditionally, when we think of mentoring we envision a mentor-mentee relationship, with one more experienced member providing information and advice to a novice, or less experienced, member. Co-mentoring disrupts the power hierarchy present in many traditional mentorship relationships and views all members as having equally important skills and strengths to contribute to the group.
Check out this lesson for introducing co-mentoring practices in your secondary classroom that can be utilized in any content area.
